Kindergarten gets a Visit from Sebastian Scarecrow!

Ms. Cindy Reynolds, a retired educator, dressed as Sebastian Scarecrow as she dramatically read a variety of scarecrow books to our kindergarten students. Ms. Reynolds is an experienced performer. She designs and dresses as literacy characters, in order to promote literacy to children. Ms. Reynolds engaged ALL of our kindergarteners through chanting, movement and construction of a real scarecrow. The kindergarteners were saddened to see Sebastian Scarecrow leave and hope that funny scarecrow comes back for another visit. Ms. Reynolds promoted reading through the character, Sebastian Scarecrow by making books come to life. The kindergarten teachers would like to extend an extra special thanks to Ms. Reynolds!

Mr. Button Reading "Frog Principal" to 1st Grade

Pictures are ordered (L-R) and (Top - Bottom)........
Mr. DeVoe shared lots of information about his career as a Barber. He explained what the red, white, and blue of the barber pole stood for.

Mrs. Gallagher showed us how she helps people get back to good health after an accident or injury.

Mrs. Choplosky told us about her career as a Stylist. I do believe we had many students that were very interested in all she had to say.

Mr. Derrick came in with jackets and helmets from the fire station. He also shared information about his "real" job as an auto mechanic.

Mr. Parks shared his newest farm addition, let the students help feed Beatrice and even provided donut holes for our morning snack!

A great morning was had by all in First Grade.
