Blue Ridge 5th Grade Art Club members, recently finished building
centerpieces for the fourth annual Blue Ribbon Gala on Saturday, February
15th. This fundraiser benefits the non-profit organization Marley's
Mission, which provides free equine-assisted psychotherapy (EAP) to children
who have suffered trauma.
Blue Ridge students built these amazing sculptures under the guidance of
art teacher, Sarrah Dibble-Camburn in their after school club. The art club
members used paper scrolling to build three dimensional horses. This project
took a few weeks to complete using patience, paper, and glue. The students
created eleven centerpieces for the event.
