A week of making real life connections took place in the prek the week of March 11th.  We started with a field trip to Brant's dairy farm on Tuesday. The children saw how milk gets from the farm to the factory so that we can buy it at the store.  On Wednesday we were visited by Gus, a character from the PA One Book - A Bus For Us.  Gus taught the children about the different amounts each coin is worth and how we can save, share and spend money.  On Thursday we had a visit from Reese Allen and Alexa Parks, both are dairy ambassadors.  They came and talked to the children about the importance of eating dairy products.  The children also learned other dairy products besides milk. On Friday Barb Gallagher came and visited the students and taught them about her sheep farm. She taught them how she can use their wool to make yarn and then uses the yarn to make clothing.
