Helping Everyone Respect Others

Blue Ridge 3^rd grade students recently participated in a character education program called “Be A Hero” (Helping Everyone Respect Others).  The program was a partnership between Blue Ridge Elementary and Montrose High School and was lead by Charlotte Sherwood.  “Be A Hero” focused on empowering students and adults to make a positive change in our school and community by providing tools to not be a bully, a victim, or a bystander.  Some of the tools included speaking up for yourself and others, seeking adult help, ending the victims sadness by showing them that you care, asserting yourself, among many others.  Student’s ended the program by becoming a part of the team of “heroes” who will help put an end to bullying!
